M. Jeannette Hagey

Loving, generous, kind, giver, smiling and a 5 star "hugger" are some of the things you know about M. Jeannette Hagey from the moment you meet her. She never met a stranger. On October 13, 2016, 5 p.m., we will celebrate the life we shared with Jeannette at Scottsdale Bible Church, 7601 W. Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Az. 85260. Jeannette was born in Muldrow, Oklahoma on January 18, 1937, and joined those waiting for her in Heaven on October 4, 2016. What a reunion that must have been. Jeannette was born to Charles Troy and Dovie Irene (Noblett) Freeman at home. Blessed to have been born into a Christian home , she attended church "every time the doors" opened. She learned to play the piano and played for the church for many years. Her love of cooking started at a very young age and continued until her recent health issues. She loved her role at Scottsdale Bible. To her it was not a job but where she went to be with her large family of brothers and sisters. In 1961, she married her best friend James R. Hagey who she leaves behind. Together they welcomed their son Shiloh here in Phoenix. She moved to Colorado Springs, Co. for a short period but long enough for Shiloh to meet and marry his wife of 22 years Deanne Adams Hagey. They all welcomed their daughter/granddaughter McKenna. Jim and Jeannette had a lot of fun together and always with family. She made everyone of us feel special. They made many car trips and loved spending time together for over 55 years. Jim, Shiloh, Deanne and McKenna will miss her tremendously. Jeannette was the 3rd born of 5 children. Her Mother and Daddy and Anna Jo Owens, first born, welcomed her home. She is survived by a brother, Bobby (Ruth) Freeman, Vian, Oklahoma, and two sisters, Charlene Parker, Independence, Mo. and Willene (Mickey) Mize , Colorado Springs, Co. She has many loving nieces and nephews remaining. Her beloved mother-in-law Grace Hagey, mother of Jim Hagey, had also passed. Jeannette was one of a kind. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives. In leiu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the memorial fund arranged with Wells Fargo Bank, Account No 9701303183.
